Dr. Imen Lahmar
I have a diploma of a Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology (specialty: Bioorganic chemistry, chemistry of natural and physiologically active substances) obtained from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy of Sofia – Bulgaria obtained in December. My master’s degree was in the specialty of Biology and Ecophysiology of Botanic Flora obtained from Sfax Faculty of Sciences– Tunisia and my Bachelor’s degree was in Geolife Sciences. My specialization area consists on plant-enzymes (amylase, protease, lipase, polyphenol oxidase, tyrosinase, lipoxygenase, asparaginase and rennin) as well enzymes optimization conditions (pH, temperature), stabilities (pH, temperature, substrate), their immobilizations and their kinetic mechanisms (specifically application of the modified Prout-Tompkins topochemical equation described). My works describes also nutritional composition of plants extracts as protein content, pH, titratable acidity, total sugars, reducing sugars, total fat, carbohydrate and ash content. In addition, my doctoral formation consists on the analysis of secondary metabolites (total phenolic, flavonoids, flavonols, and procyanidins), antioxidant properties by the determination of free radical scavenging activity and the reducing power of bio-active extracts as well antifungal activities against pathogenic threaten crops.
